Celebrating Summer Qigong Workshop
with Solala Towler
"To age with the sun and moon and be renewed by spring and summer, to conserve the seeds of growth in autumn and winter and to be nourished by the eternal breath of the Tao – these are the goals of the Taoist alchemists, the masters of the arts of health, longevity, and immortality."
— Eva Wong
In Daoist tradition, Summer is the season of joy, expansion, and creativity. Its color is red, its totem animal is the Red Phoenix, its element is fire, and its direction is south. The organ associated with summer is the heart — the home of the shen, or spirit, and the center of our emotional and spiritual well-being.
In this three-hour online workshop, we will explore powerful ways to nourish and support ourselves during this vibrant yet sometimes challenging season. Through a blend of meditation, mantra, invocation, visualization, and qigong practice, we will focus on opening and balancing the heart, connecting to our middle dantian and spiritual center.
This workshop will include:
• Opening Our Energetic Heart
• Sitting and Forgetting Meditation
• Open Heart Qigong
• Settling the Heart Meditation
• The Secret of the Golden Flower Meditation
• Conscious Breathing Qigong
• Connecting Our Heart with the Heart of the World
…and more.
