Healing Our Heart Qigong
A Six-Week Online Class with Solala Towler
In Chinese medicine, the heart is seen as much more than just a pump. It is the home of the shen—our spiritual center—and is considered the emperor of all the other organs. In Daoist thought, the heart is also viewed as the seat of our cognitive mind.
When the heart’s energy becomes imbalanced, it can lead to symptoms such as insomnia, memory issues, unclear thinking, dizziness, shortness of breath, and more. While severe imbalances should be treated by a medical professional, there is much we can do ourselves to balance and strengthen the heart’s energy.
Through meditation and specific qigong practices, we can calm, harmonize, and nourish this vital center. In this class, we will work with these tools to support the heart on both a physical and energetic level.
On an emotional and spiritual level, we will also explore how to connect with and utilize the heart as a powerful, wondrous spiritual center—a gateway to deeper awareness, emotional balance, and inner peace.
